    In addition to a base salary, our Sales – Business Development Representative position includes a commission component that is based on achieving and exceeding team initiatives, so you are in control of your overall compensation.

    Position Summary

    To support our efforts to grow originations in line with our corporate strategy. This requires assisting in developing and cultivating customers and prospects in coalition with our Business Development team. Your goal is to maintain and expand the sales activity levels of the current program relationships within specifically defined accounts. Our approach is to be “consultative” and help our customer’s grow their business by taking advantage of the benefits of commercial financing using telephone/email communication, exceptional customer experience, and expedition of documentation packages. A very professional and customer service oriented approach is both important and required. Marlin will provide extensive training and support to help you succeed.     Responsibilities

    • Make outbound sales calls to dealers to promote Marlin finance programs
    • Close dealer relationships and generate new sales within a program
    • Build strong relationships with Business Development Managers on the team
    • Assist and grow existing business accounts through consultative selling
    • Assist in managing vendor relationships on an ongoing basis
    • Develop and maintain accurate data in client database
    • Handle incoming business (calls/emails) from sales leads
    • Achieve monthly sales volume and Business Development team quotas
    • Interdepartmental communication, particularly with credit and operations teams
    • Assume job responsibilities for sales representatives when they are out of the office, acting as the primary backup to the BD Managers
    • Assist in the process of applications, documentation, and funding for sales representatives
    • Liaison between sales representatives, internal support departments and our customers
    • Develop a good understanding of all the programs on the team

    Qualifications

    • 1+ Year of sales experience preferred
    • Customer service focus and a professional approach to building B2B relationships.
    • Self-driven with an entrepreneurial spirit
    • A drive and desire to achieve high compensation
    • Support/Leasing related experience preferred
    • Undergraduate degree preferred
