    Marlin Business Services Corp is seeking an experienced Loan Processor to assist with processing of small business loans ranging from $5,000 - $150,000. This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely operations of the loan submittal process. Loan processor duties and responsibilities will include entry of customer’s bank statement data into our loan application system, conducting reputational searches and ensuring that the loan application is complete in preparation of underwriter’s analysis and decision process. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team setting.

     

    Essential Functions:

    -Create, prepare and submit a loan submission package for Underwriters review.
    -Responsible for gathering bank statements and entering bank data fields into scoring model.
    -Determine missing components of application package for follow-up with Sales department.
    -Perform online reputational searches to confirm business operations, corporation status and other applicable prescreen tasks.
    -Alerts loan underwriting team of any key findings on credit bureau reports, bank statements, and any other pertinent information in order to facilitate accurate and timely credit decisions.
    -Daily responsibilities will require face to face interaction with the individual Sales Rep(s), Sales Manager(s) and business partners.
    -Interacts professionally and demonstrates excellent customer service with sales personnel, business partners and customers.
    -Work within established regulations and adhere to law requirements at all times.
    -Provide support to all areas of the department as needed.

     

    Qualifications:

    -Bachelor Degree preferred in related field

    -Minimum of 2 years of successful work experience in a high volume, fast paced environment in a commercial banking or financing company.

    -Experience reviewing and analyzing bank statements, financial statement, tax returns, and third party credit reports preferred.

    -Excellent PC and computer literacy skills.

    -Self-motivated and detailed oriented with strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills.

    -Demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

    -Customer Service Oriented – Candidates are comfortable on the phone and demonstrate professional and articulate telephone demeanor.

    -Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, with a strong focus on attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
